UK Sales Tax (VAT)
- By law a customer living in the European Economic Community (EEC see below) must be charged VAT (Value Added Tax) at UK rates (17.5%) on the transaction. The exception is an EEC Trade customer who is registered for VAT. We will authorise the credit card for full amount including VAT. When the customers VAT number has been validated, the VAT will be deducted and credit card charged less VAT. (The order checkout total will include VAT.)
- Where we ship goods to a country outside the EEC, the customer will NOT be charged VAT (UK Sales Tax).
